About
Do you feel unworthy or disconnected from yourself and others? Hoping that you can find some peace of mind while trying to navigate the chaos in your life?
Imagine going through life with a sense of ease and being able to meet challenges head on without breaking down. Imagine finally feeling a sense of relief and gratitude, as you feel more connected with yourself and your environment.
I strive to help individuals reach their full potential through a collaborative approach. As a therapist it is important to me that I create a space that is inviting, compassionate, and judgment-free. You and I will work together to find what works best for you, as we navigate the challenges together. You are not alone in dealing with challenges, I will be walking with you as we navigate this chaos together.
I am trained in various approaches that centre your experience outside of stigma and judgment. This means that we will collaborate on the goals for therapy, while understanding that they are not stagnant and are subject to change. We can always incorporate teachings from the Qur’an, Sunnah, and Hadith to navigate the challenges in your life. We may shift our focus inwards and learn to have a better relationship with our emotions and thoughts.
As a curious person, I have continuously sought knowledge about Islam in order to increase my Iman. Through this journey, I have learned more about the connection between Islam and psychological healing. Whether through talking circles, formal lectures, or trainings, not only do I feel an increase in my Iman, but I am continuously gathering information about how Islamic teachings are vital to mental or spiritual healing.
I like to have a conversation with my clients to see how comfortable they are with incorporating Islamic teachings into our sessions. One example of what that may look like is reflecting on the examples from the Qur’an, Sunnah, and/or Hadith to navigate a particular problem that the client is facing.
Are you ready to finally find a sense of relief? Then let’s connect with a free introduction call where I answer any questions you may have.
